The Hergom E20 is a stunning, beautifully made, high quality cast iron stove made in Spain.

A true classic - it's the type of stove that can look equally as good in an old period property right through to a new build.

This specific stove was supplied by Natural Heating and recently fitted in Buxton Lamas / Norfolk by Martin Lancaster and Robert Eagle

The Hergom cast iron stoves are NOT like cheap Chinese cast iron... the surface is sleek and smooth as you would expect of a high quality stove. Yes, cast iron takes longer to heat up than a steel stove - but it also holds the heat for a very long time.

This stove has some quirky and unusual features. In a wood burner, you typically burn on a bed of ash straight on the floor. However, on this one - there is a port hole type feature on the inside. You can remove the panel and dump excess ash into the ash box below as an alternative to shovelling out the inside.

Personally, I didn't REALLY see the point in that as the lower ash drawer is FAR better utilised for other things !

I ran one of these stoves for a couple of months on trial last winter and had great fun cooking all manner of things from little roasted potatoes to hard boiled eggs... to chicken wings and apple crumble all in that lower cooking drawer !
