We were a little cold today in Natural Heating - which is a sorry thing for a stove shop to have to say..... but the reason we could not light our fire was because it needed to be cold in order to pull it out and change the display model !
This eventually got done mid afternoon, and we got a couple of curing fires done to start baking the paint on after hours - rather than subject customers to fumes.
Exciting day !
Another couple of run in burns tomorrow, but the intention is to have this large wood burning stove with oven up to speed and baking bread etc by Saturday morning.
The Hergom Laredo is a large combination wood burning stove with a nominal heat output of 12kw. Not only does it have a large top oven (big enough to roast a large turkey !) - but more impressively, has grill racks to go INSIDE the main fire box to let you cook food directly over the flames.
As soon as I realised what this unit could do (being personally really into wood fired cooking), we just HAD to put one in as a working display model. We also now hold this stove in stock.
Even during the second curing fire, we had the top oven up to around 170 / 180deg c inside 20 mins.
If we get the curing burns finished tomorrow, I'll have a hard job resisting running through a batch of scones :-P
